And Angels Sing Thee To Thy Rest...

My third brother, John, was taken off the ventilator and quietly slipped away.

It appears that he initially had symptoms of a stroke or TIA on Sunday. Tuesday he urged his wife to go help her mother, that he was fine, but realised after she left that he couldn't get up. He was able to call 911 for help and they broke down the door to get to him, but by then it was too late - the damage had been done.

Please, learn the signs of stroke (you can find information HERE ) and get help immediately if you have ANY signs.

I spoke with Mom a little while ago. They had stopped for a meal and rest at the Cracker Barrel in Valdosta Georgia and were planning to continue until they were north of Atlanta; they'll get a motel there for the night. Mom seems to be holding up well, especially after having chemo this morning, but she's always shown true grit.

Thank you, all, for your kindness and your caring comments, we all appreciate them very much.
