Fast Friday Fiver #4 -Remember

1. Today is the 70th anniversary of D-Day. Remember.

2. We all need someone to rely on when things grow difficult; for my nephew: Remember that Aunt TickleMonster is still here, with a listening ear, even if you are all grown up.

3. Remember when you were a child, and high adventure was being allowed to stay up until the stars and fireflies were out? No? Then go lay on a blanket beneath the sky and remember.

4. Closing my eyes and remembering the sound of my daughter's first laugh never fails to make me smile; what sound or sight makes you feel the same way?

5. I can never forget what supportive, comforting, caring friends I have here; you give me cause to remember that love we call friendship every day, and I thank you for it.

Have a wonderful weekend my friends.

  3. Thinking of my kids laughing makes me smile too. I'm not sure I remember their first laughs. I do remember the first time my daughter threw something out of her crib and said, 'uh oh' though. She liked it so much she kept doing it over and over again, and 'uh oh' was her first 'official' word. :)

  9. Rainbows. I always love to see a rainbow. It adds a touch of magic to any day. I too remember the stay up days - and now would love, love, love for someone to insist I had an afternoon nap and went to bed early.
    Have a great weekend.

  11. Any memory of my children when they were young makes me smile and remember. J, I'm so glad we all have each other here in blogland. Don't know what I would do without those connections. :)

  14. I smile every time I think about holding my daughter for the first time...almost 36 years ago. Now it's the grandkids' laughter that warms my heart.

  15. Bing and I watched a wonderful television show last night, hosted by Brian Williams, called something like "Journey to Normandy." It was just inspiring...all those terribly brave men who just....stepped out into a storm of bullets.

  17. Oh, catching fireflies in a jar and then releasing them. Magic. Sweeping the sad memories out of my head for a moment and only remembering the sweet ones. Thanks!
